Super excited at the Zoo

We have wanted to take the girls to D.C. for some time and finally managed to do so! We had one busy day where we took a few hours to visit a few of the art galleries, the sculpture garden, the Smithsonian, and even the Washington Zoo! This may seem super crazy to many of you but in fact, it worked out well. We spent 2-3 hours at each place and as the kids got sick of one sight we'd move onto a completely different one.

Alexandra's favorite part of our trip was the museums, Isabel's was the zoo, mine was losing my purse and having it turned in at the Smithsonian with all of my belongings, and Michael enjoyed it all!

We are so lucky to live so close to all of these wonderful, free places!

We figured we'd try to take a few family shots while we were all together at our family crabfest celebrating Dad's, Meno's, and Michael's birthdays! Happy Birthday guys!

Dutch Wonderland

Luckily, we went to Dutchwonderland when rain was forecasted. We practically had the park to ourselves. The kids went on almost all of the rides within 2 hours.. yippee and spent a good chunk of the time at the awesome water park!

Lake Tobias

You must go if you've never been. Lake Tobias is awesome! You see animals close up and get to experience a safari ride similar to the one in Disney. We make Lake Tobias a yearly event and this time spent a few extra dollars to go to the reptile show which was totally worth it. We got to see a sloth, porcupine, many snakes, parrots, and more! Check out pics from this year!
