Washington D.C.

This week has been quite a whirlwind. The girls took off of school the beginning of the week due to the reunion and the end of the week to go with Papoo , YiaYia, and Addison to Washington D.C. I have been wanting to take the girls there for quite some time but just haven't been able to fit in. Growing up in Maryland, we took many trips to Washington to visit the Smithsonian, art galleries, The Holocaust Museum, Aeronautical Museum, and Washington Zoo so I really wanted the girls to get the experience to go as well. Alexandra had just learned about the capitol, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln so she was thrilled to visit. Her class asked her to bring back post cards which she can't wait to show off. Out of all of the many sites they went to, their favorite part was the "train" which was actually the subway. They thought that was so neat! What a fun week!

BLT Reunion

Sorry, I didn't take many pictures from our annual reunion. This year we had the best weather for the beach. We had a really nice sneak peak of how those hot summer days are going to be. The kids absolutely had a blast playing in the sand. Typically, Isabel hated the sand. She would not even walk on it. It's amazing what one year can do. We were also joined by Jason this year. He put together a work-out for Andy and Lindsey.. it was hilarious! I think Lindsey trained ahead of time because she acted as though the exercises didn't affect her. Poor Andy could barely make it up off of the ground after each set of push ups and jumps. It was very entertaining and I was very happy I wasn't the one asked to do it! As always, a great weekend to get away from it all!

Art Show

Alexandra and Isabel could not wait for us to go to their art show to see all of the creative projects they had done throughout the school year! They were pretty awesome. Alexandra made a very cool sunflower using beans, wire, etc. Isabel managed to get 1st place on her sponge painting.

The Unexpected..

Well, we thought we were done making some major home improvements, atleast for a little while until.. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER! Boy, nothing wakes you up faster than a cold, I mean very cold, shower. Luckily my Dad was willing to come over on a Sunday and help us install a new one. The only downside was that we ended up buying a smaller size water heater. Now it's a race for all of us to take a shower w/out losing hot water :P Isabel kept coming down to supervise and make sure things are being done right.. she is just like her MOM!
