Must See!

If you missed ABCs program on RANDY PAUSCH check it out on YouTube Diane Sawyer Randy Pausch for the preview and then Randy Pausch Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams for the actual speech. He is very very inspiring! A few thoughts I took away from his speech:

Your critics are the ones there telling you they love you. When you're screwing up and nobody is saying anything any more that means they gave up on you!

The brick walls in life exsit for a reason. They give us a chance to prove how badly we want something. The brick walls are there to stop those who don't want it badly enough.

Dream BIG!

Anger has never helped a situation get better.

This is sort of random but you know how us Mom's can be.. in aww that our kiddos can read and write. I encouraged Alexandra to keep a journal and this is what her first page consisted of.. hopefully she doesn't get upset that i'm posting her journal publicly but it didn't sound too private! HEHE!
I asked her why she wrote what she did. Her response," These are the games we played today in school. You told me I can write about what I did." That made a bit more sense.

Spring Program

Alexandra and Isabel had their Spring Program this past Sunday. They practiced their poems, songs, and memorization sets for weeks. Daddy and Mommy were very excited when the practicing came to an end! They did an outsanding job when it came time for the real program.

Isabel held her letter "I" that Daddy made her and sang her favorite song.. "Stop And Let Me Tell You, What The Lord Has Done For Me".

Alexandra recited lines all by herself and did a wonderful job. She also impressed the crowd when it came time to add some dance moves to a song. She has really changed from a very quiet and timid little girl to quite the performer:) We are so very proud of how much they have accomplished this year in school and are looking forward to the years to come!

FHE

For Family Home Evening this past Monday, we decided to have one of our favorite meals from Spain.. nothing to fancy.. just fresh tuna on a bed of greens topped w/ olive oil and vinegar. It is awesome! We were surprise that even the girls loved it. After our lesson we had a "painting session". Like me, Alexandra LOVES art.. painting, drawing, etc. Her teacher tells us she is such a perfectionist when it comes to art time that she never ever finishes her projects. Sound like someone we know? Umm.. Angela :P Anyways, we had such a fun night. Even Daddy participated in the painting!
